40 year old male living in Palm Springs, CA with my Scottie Sasha.  I started RateURTrick because of the overwhelming amount of crime that was/is occurring through gay online hookup sites.  While most are the result of drugs, they all are serious and very few go reported.  So after I lost two friends over innocuous items like a laptop etc, I decided there had to be something done, so I created a site wherein people, either via their RUT screen name or anonymously, can post ratings of someone they hooked up with on a positive or negative basis.  All postings are screened to weed out the bitchy and bashing listings.

I have decided to keep the site free for all to use and do not accept any advertising on the site whatsoever.  It’s my gift to the community to keep them safe(r) while meeting guys online.  Besides, you never really know who is on the other end of the keyboard, sometimes until it is too late.

Since I started the site in 2008, as a result of allowing people to post about incidents, again good and bad, 5 wanted people have been arrested, 2 LTR’s have formed, 3 suicide attempts by young guys who had become infected with HIV and had not yet told their parents they were even gay....the list goes on and on.  I had never intended the site to turn into what it has, but I am very proud of what it has become.

When someone is rated on the site, the logo of the site where our member met him is shown and a link to that person’s profile will show when you click on the link.  This has also shown to be a really effective tool in helping newer online sites reach a greater number of people, again I don’t charge for that.
